Buy the Silmu Shirt and Shirt Dress sewing pattern from Named. Silmu is a stylish pattern duo that includes a loose-fitting shirt and a midi-length shirt dress. Both variations feature a distinctive overlapping collar. The shirt variation also includes breast pockets, a back pleat, long sleeves with cuffs, and an uneven hem with side slits. The waist pleats of the dress variation make it loose at the top, while the skirt is lightly fitted. The dress also has pleated half sleeves and a tie closure at the back.

Suggested fabrics: For both variations, choose a non-stretch, lightweight or medium-weight shirt fabric. The shirt fabric can be slightly lighter, while the dress can be made of a heavier but more drapey material.
Fabric requirements: The fabric requirements include a 5% allowance for shrinkage. Note that the fabric consumption may be greater for fabrics with a pattern and for fabrics that need to be cut in one direction.
Shirt: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 135 - 205 cm (1 1/2 - 2 1/4 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 170 - 270 cm (1 7/8 - 3 yd).
Dress: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 190 - 335 cm (2 1/8 - 3 5/8 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 255 - 405 cm (2 3/4 - 4 3/8 yd).
Sizing: EU 32 – 56 (approx. UK 6 – 28, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
