Pattern Scout Ava Dress
Buy the Ava Dress sewing pattern from Pattern Scout. The Ava Dress is a sleeveless, popover dress with a faux wrap bodice and elasticated waist. The sleeveless shoulder edge is extended slightly beyond the shoulder point for a modern silhouette. Ava can be sewn as an above the knee length dress (Version A) or a maxi length dress (Version B). This is your new spring/summer go-to frock! Wear it casual with flat sandals or sneakers, layer it with your favourite cardigan or jean jacket, or dress it up with statement shoes and jewellery.

Suggested fabrics: Medium to lightweight woven fabrics, such as linen, cotton sateen/lawn/batiste/chambray, rayon, lyocell, and Tencel.
Fabric requirements: If using a directional print or pattern matching (with stripes, plaids, etc.) additional yardage may be required.
45" (114 cm) wide fabric: Version A, 1 3/4 - 3 yd (1.6 - 2.7 m) // Version B, 2 1/2 - 4 yd (2.3 - 3.6 m).
54" (137 cm) wide fabric: Version A, 1 1/2 - 2 3/4 yd (1.6 - 2.5 m) // Version B, 2 1/4 - 3 3/4 yd (2 - 3.4 m).
Sizing: US 0 – 30 with B, C and D cups (approx. UK 6 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
Choose your size based on your HIGH BUST measurement first, then find the FULL BUST cup size that is closest to your FULL BUST measurement.
Notions: Medium to lightweight fusible interfacing (choose interfacing based on fabric weight); approx. 1 yd/m of 3/4" (2 cm) wide elastic.
