Wardrobe by Me Big Shirt and Dress
Buy the Big Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from Wardrobe by Me. This versatile pattern can sewn as a shirt or a shirt dress. Both versions feature a collar and collar stand, dropped shoulders, a back yoke with gathers, button front, and your choice of voluminous cuffed sleeves or elbow length sleeves. The dress has side seam pockets. The fit is intentionally oversized.
Sewing level: Intermediate
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:
– PAPER (next working day dispatch on orders and FREE UK delivery over £50)
– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?
– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces have been split (to fit on the A0 sheets) and will need to be joined together.
Suggested fabrics: Choose shirt weight woven fabric such as cotton voile, linen, poplin, chambray, etc.
Fabric requirements:
Shirt: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: Short sleeves, 2 - 2.5 m (2.25 - 2.75 yd) // Long sleeves, 2.3 - 2.75 m (2.5 - 3 yd).
Dress: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: Short sleeves, 2.75 - 3 m (3 - 3.25 yd) // Long sleeves, 3 - 3.35 m (3.25 - 3.75 yd).
Sizing: EU 30 – 54 / US 0 – 24 (approx. UK 6 – 24, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Interfacing, 90 cm (35") wide, 0.5 m/yd; 12-15 mm (1/2"-5/8") buttons, 7 for shirt with short sleeves, 9 for shirt with long sleeves, 10 for dress with short sleeves, 12 for dress with long sleeves.
