Grainline Studio Austin Dress

Buy the Austin Dress sewing pattern from Grainline Studio. Austin is a semi-fitted sleeveless dress with armhole darts and a keyhole opening at the centre front. Customise the Austin with your choice of a knee length A-line or midi-length gathered skirt and add optional patch pockets to carry snacks for you (and your furry friends!). Topstitched seams and button band closures at the side seams add both function and interest.

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: View A, 2 1/4 - 2 5/8 yd (2 - 2.4 m) // View B, 3 1/8 - 3 1/4 yd (2.8 - 3 m).

Sizes 14 – 32

45″ (114 cm) wide fabric: View A, 3 - 3 3/8 yd (2.6 - 3.1 m) // View B, 4 1/8 - 5 yd (3.7 - 4.6 m).

54″ (137 cm) wide fabric: View A, 2 5/8 - 2 3/4 yd (2.3 - 2.5 m) // View B, 3 1/4 - 4 1/4 yd (2.9 - 3.8 m).

Sizing: US 0 – 18 or US 14 – 32 (approx. UK 8 – 18 or UK 16 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size charts and finished garment measurements.

The 0 – 18 pattern is drafted for a B sewing cup size. The 14 – 32 pattern is drafted for a D sewing cup size. Both patterns are drafted for a height of 5’5″.

Notions: Fusible interfacing; sixteen 11/16"-3/4" (18 mm-19 mm) buttons; one 3/8" (10 mm) button; 1 1/2" (3.8 mm) length of elastic cord.
